Default Volvo S40 AUD module component protection

    Hi guys,

    Having a situation here.
Volvo 2006, AUD module blown (amp in boot).
Replaced with second hand unit, but now it plays for 30sec and cuts.
    Diagnostic shows AUD not authorized.
Found 24c02 inside, swapped, but still the same.
    Anyone has an idea?

    Thanks in advance

you need to supply more info make and model of the unit
If you can't repair it, leave it as you found it, don't destroy it.

Audio network is secured. I do not know details(what you should swap) but maybe serial number is compared. Dealer can disable security and then audio network can accept units from other car or they can configure audio network with used unit.

Go to the dealer and ask them nicely to disable MOST security .
