I have a 99 volvo with vers 2 elect.No matter what parameter I change,I cant get rpms over 1600.The speed sensor harness is trashed and Im geting speed sensor codes active.If the ecm doesnt register speed is it like a cummins and cut rpms until speed is reg?Thanks for any help with this problem!

Are you sure that vers2 in this year? not 98? what tachograf is in this auto? first you must repair speed sensor harness, if it is damaged or replace sensor. when tachograf work good it send speed signal to vechile ECU, and then with rpm all ok.

you don't find parameter. i think if you don't want repair harness you must make emulator, that generate speed signal to vehile ECU, then ECU see small speed and i think that will be all ok.

Repair the harness and replace the speed sensor if necessary! This will solve the issue of not getting past 1600RPM! After you have repaired harness check fault codes! if you get a code in the engine ecu MID128 PID84 FMI9 and one in the vehicle ecu MID144 PID84 FMI2 replace the speed sensor! Just remember when replacing the speed sensor you must pair the sensor to the tacho or the cruise control and high idle will not work!

In parameter programming you can only increase the engine speeds, however this will only work if the speed sensor and tacho are communicating correctly
