    Default MPPS Pin13 for M5.9.x

    Hello,

    i have a problem...
    i have tried to read out a passat 1.8T with mpps v5.

    as in describtion 12v+ on pin13:
    i have solder on my mpps inside a cable on pin13 the other end i have put on a the car battery 12+ , now the mpps is dead i will upload a picture....

    have the mpps inside already 12+ on pin 13????

    are you 100% sure that you connected it to pin13? you should just bridge pins 16 and 13.
    anyway consider yourself lucky to brick only that shitty chinese clone, not the ECU.

    pin16 is normally powered with 12v+ okay that is then my fault, but why is broken with 12v+ from battery?

    i have looked at the obd connector in the car and there is no pin in it at pin13.

    you probably reversed something, are you sure you are looking from the right side, maybe you mirrored the whole thing?

    what year is your passat?

    no it was pin 13, because it was written pin16 on the mpps, i have check it two times with a multimeter.

    ok other fault is....
    the ecu is me7.X

    that is ME7.5 with 29F400 inside any should be OBD flashable, maybe on those early ME7.5 there is no wire between ECU pin 43 and OBD pin 13

    yep in case od ME7.5 no need to put 12V there, but that doesnt explain why you killed your MPPS

    probably it is meant 12v+ through pin 13 obd or direct to ecu pin43, but not on mpps...
