    Default S11 remote control

Hey I got an OpenBox S11 today as a cheap second box. The box works, it is not a clone and finds all the channels.

But, the remote control only works when aimed within 2-3 feet of the receiver. Is this normal? Or is the fault with the remote or the receiver?

The batteries in the remote are new, but i have tried others... same result.
    Nothing is obstructing the view.

    THanks

    plastic screen?

Im gonna guess its a receiver fault. It came from a very highly recommended ebay seller of these boxes.

The box as been opened before as you can see the black paint scratched off the screws on the back, and the casing is slightly bent. Not impressed when advertised as new. Looks like its never been used before but it has a ton of scratches and the guy must open them up without much care to replace the power lead with a UK one.

When I look at the sensor (i can see the square) next to the channel number display and it all looks wonky, and the power LEDs dont seem to line up to the two holes quite right.

He sold a ton of these with perfect feedback, and it definately is a genuine box, so feeling gutted . Hope he is good to deal with...

can someone with an Openbox S11 take a picture of the "Sensor" area on the front of their box please?

In some lights you should be able to see it.

I just googled for images and cant find one clear enough, my sensor does not look right.

I can't understand why people go to so much trouble if the thing is faulty just send the thing back for a replacement you will be covered by paypal, if the thing has all scratches just reject it and send it back.
