    Default host inactivity

Hi guys every month i get an email saying my dynamic dns will expire as quoted below it also says qoute it must be updated via our website or dynamic update what is dynamic update i thought it was the download that sits in the
taskbar can anyone help so this doesnt happen again
Your free host #####no-ip.biz, will expire
in 7 days due to account inactivity.

#######.no-ip.biz was last updated on 2012-01-22 09:40:08. Free Dynamic DNS
hosts must be updated via our website or dynamic update client every 30 days
to prevent them from being removed from our system.

i dont have a no ip addy but have a free dyndns account, i assume if its the same a free account with dyndns you must sign in once a month to keep it active even though you have an updater in toolbar.

the updater should sign in , although if you can let the router do it its easier

you can easily check on when the last update was done by signing in to check it

so yes the updater tool should keep it from expiring, providing its active and doingt the job more than once a month

not really a satellite issue though as its a pc issue

I'm pretty sure with a free No-ip account you have to manually sign in/update once a month .
I have an updater tool running once an hour yet I must still manually update.

I use dyndns and never logged in to the web site because I installed dynamic update client which automatically sign in and update.
