When you goto menu/setup/harddrive/initilize what error do you get or does it do the process ok?

If it does this ok do you see the HDD in the blue/blue/device manager in mount points?

    Also what image? phoenix 133?

I have seen a fair few HDD not being compatible what that img.

You cant try going to /etc/fstab and edit that file by remove the # for the hdd then try to initialize and mount but i would go with the below image (s)

If you like that image you will like BH 1.6.6 get that.

Should sort your problem out or try Open Pli 2.1 beta.

I`ve had the same problem with the dreamelite-phoenix image and the suggestion to remove the # before /dev/sda in etc fstab enables initialization.Replace it afterwards.
