Default clio 08 petrol turbo estate

Hi lads i have just purchased a 2008 clio estate

i'm really pleased with it but i have one problem

pulling off in first gear is a little hit and miss the revs tick over at 500rpm which seems low when i engage the clutch and get the bite the car seems to drop the revs so i have to give slightly more on the gas

it really feels like a flat spot are the revs at ticover the problem here ?
    thanks in advance lads
