Renault - program a used IR remote

Hi Guys,

The owner of an old Megane Coupe sourced two good working remotes from the scrapyard, as his original remote had died. (this is the one button, IR key fob)

I would need to program them up to the car somehow, as he would like to use the original remote to open/close the car. The immo function is not important, as it has been disabled before...

Is it possible at the first place? If so, how? I know the immo pin and I have a Clip and really that's all!

I think only tool i know that can do used IR remote programming on renault is carprog.

when You buy new from renault there precoded to car.

Clip wont help you.

Or as immo is off, go back to scrapyard and get reciever and immo box of doner car- job done!!

I use upa programmer to read the remote control microcontroller.
100% ok
You can read the file from the second key good.
Write this file in the wrong key, then resynchronize in the car.
I've done several times in different renault go and it works perfect

Hi!!

I want add new key ir in megane 1996, only ir, not transponder. I have got 2 news plips, a dialer's present for me heheheheh.
Could add new plip?

There are 2 differents ir plips.
1- Diode inside it's red mcu motorola HC05K3 S105078003, there are the same model with mcu S...002

2-Plip with diode white and mcu 0L67C

I have writte with upa 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 like friend angmar, then writte 4 digits in car with central lock buttom, press buttom plip, but happens nothing.

I have read any post that anybody calculated second line for add new ir key like dealer.

Any help please???

Should work! thats what I did on a Megane and it did work great!

I think you have misunderstood us a bit. You said you wrote 0000 in the MCU dump. This is not any good!

Make it this way:

1. connect your UPA to the MC68HC05K3, as per the instructions to the ORIGINAL key which opens/closes the car (or at least did in the past)

2. read the dump out, and name it something like original.bin

3. connect your UPA to the new keys which came out of an other car, from the scrapyard or anywhere else

4. with UPA write the "original.bin" onto the new key

5. resync keys


This is what I did an it did work! So you are cloning the original keys!

I've attached the dump from the original key of the Megane I did. Now this dump is present on all 3 keys, and all of them open/close the car! Obviously this dump will not work with your car, but if you read out the original dump of yours and put that onto the other keys it will!

I did job like you. Keys at firdt works perfect, at 10 uses light key when pressed buttom don't blink.

At next day, worked perfect!!! this method it's perfect!!

Only one thing more.

Do you know if for copy this key, need the same key like working customer key?? Or works always?
All infrared keys there are with mcu MC68HC05K3
but mcu inside are 3 different models

This keys have got the same board

0L67C led in key it's white, not red. Different board

Very interesting post.
Just wonder if the read or dump from the mcu of a non working, or working ver y ramdon IR key, is still valid to be copies or cloned into an used but working key(from other car).
Take in mind we talk about cars between 10-15 years old, and when clients comes, or its the last key and they begin to have problems with it, or they have already as key already doesnt work any more.

As you can see from my first post, the Megane I did only had one remote which DID open the car the a few years ago, but by the I've received it it was completely dead - hence I had to disable the immo, as it did not even start the car.

But as you can see, even if the key fob was dead, I was still able to read out the MCU dump. I would say the MCU itself is not one of the fragile parts on the board!

Dumps be swaped from diferents MCUs???.

I did not quite understand the concept discussed.

to clone the remote key in this way? or has to be with immo_off

for me would be helpful, please anyone can help me, I need to know how to copy the IR Remote renault.
