Help new key Spinter 2.9 TD

Cuttting the long story short, somebody removed the WSP form my 2000 sprinter TD. I then found another WSP from a different car and i want to fit it on my van. Being a total noob in this i tried learning my key using das and it is giving me the transponder code as 16 FF E9 4E 98 among other things and at the next stage its asking me for a coded random random number which i'm not sure where this comes from.

Now question firstly how is this "coded random number" generated or alternately can i manually enter the transponder code as it appears above in the dump from the WSP which by the way has an OJ66D MCU
