    Default DM600/gemini 4.6 Default SSH login details

    hi guys, i have just flashed my dreambox 600-c with the gemini 4.60 image, i like it so far, only thing i cant figure out is what the login is for the ssh server thats running. it doesnt work with root:dreambox. Does anyone know what the actual default login and pass is , and how i can change it?? thanks in advance

    I am using 4.60 on a 600 also and it is root / dreambox
    yours should be the same I'd say. . . .

    I've got two DM600PVR doorstops...

    I know, it just refuses to accept. I use putty and can connect to my linux pc just fine.

    Why not use telnet?

    i think gemini has no root password set by default and the
    ssh server wont allow root to log on without a password set.

    soooo....telnet to the box. set a password and then try
    logging on using ssh.

    Right , thanks that works. I didnt even thought about that. Now i set the password with passwd and it worked.
