ok, lets begin. i have been given a dm800 and a null modem cable, windows 7 64bit and a motherboard with a serial port . Someone tried to update the image, got the error!/no ca then tried to do all different sorts of thing to the box to try to make it work again.
They dont know exactly what they have done though which makes it difficult.
my progress.
i can use patched dreamup to get the box an ip address but when i click flash and select an image it says "file to big" even when flashing just a bootloader.
I also can use patched dream up to get the box an ip address. type the ip into internet explorer ( firefox doenst work for some reason ) . in here it says the current bl is 59.
i click flash. select a bootloader bl69 or bl76 or 82 , it says 100% complete but when i go back to the ip and refresh it still says bl59.
From there when i try to flash an image by selecting it then clicking ok/flash it just hangs for 20 seconds then comes up " windows diagnose box( ie no connection )". then i cant ping the ip either in cmdpromt
whats the next step to try? as after reading through multiple posts regarding error!/no ca no one has mentioned about it loosing its ip after flashing bootloader and also that the bootloader thinks it still bl59
Please please help me as its driving me nuts!
