    Default hey is it opssible to transfer dm500 keys with out ftp

    hey guy i dont have a router i have one of those cable modem and i can only put one ethernet cable which is connected to my laptop i also have a null cable is it possible for me to transfer the new key/rom on my dreambox500, with the things i have, help plzzzz

    It's not possible to transfer individual files with a null modem cable, you need to use ethernet.

    I find this is very useful...

    Easy.

    Download keys to your PC.

    Disconnect cable from Modem and connect to Dreambox.

    Configure network appropriately.

    Load keys to Dreambox.

    I think that will only work if he's using a crossover cable wont it witchy?

    tho you can turn a standard Ethernet cable into a crossover cable pretty easily
