    Default hard drive for vu

after deciding to buy a vu duo( not ordered yet) i was looking for some hard drive to fit in and found one laying around a external freecom 400gb. i open the casing to see the specs:
    400GB/7200rpm/8M/PATA.
i assuming that this one is not good right?

SATA you need m8, or get a converter from ide to sata on the bay, or just use it as an external drive with your VU, easy.

I use a hard drive for picons/epg/vfd etc etc, a lot of peeps use a usb stick, probably quicker using a usb stick, but if yer not bothered, stick them on the hard drive if funds are tight.
