    Default Question for MOT testers

My Renault Laguna is due for it's MOT, it has a problem with the central locking on the rear door. It locks but doesn't unlock with the fob, you have to unlock it from the inside.

I know it will fail on this as you won't be able to get access from the outside.

But my question is, if I unplug the solenoid/lock so that there is no central locking to the door, would it fail on that as you wouldn't be able to lock the door?

All the other doors, would lock when you pressed the key except that one; but the door will still open with the handles.

All it needs is a new solenoid or wiring checking, but no-one ever sits in the back as I just use the car for work so fixing it isn't a huge priority at the minute.

    Thanks

good question, nice awseom siggy you got there.

Can't see it being a problem, if you leave it unlocked when you take it for MOT.

Can you unplug that door, and leave it 'permantly' unlocked?

That should pass without any problem.
