Default Samsung Tocco Lite problem, please help!!!

    Hi everyone,

I am new here and I really hope someone out there can help me!

I have had a Samsung Tocco Lite for 2 years now. I have been trying to get it unlocked by my network since then. They have given me several wrong codes, freezing my phone. So I had to send it back to networks offices to "flash" it. I FINALLY got the correct code, by the phone is on "Phone Freeze" again.

My problem is I live in Spain now (originally from Ireland) and can't send the phone back to them.

Does anyone know how I can unfreeze it myself. I just want to use my phone again! It's been 2 years!!!

Thanks everyone in advance for any help offered.

    Dominic

Buy another, unlocked tocco lites on ebay go quite cheap.. Or get a much better more up to date phone, you can get android phones with wifi for around 50 quid nowadays.

I like this phone, and I would like to start using it. I never got the use out of it when I first got it, principal of the thing! plus I'm not in a financial position to get a new phone.

Sorry, but for your old phone its just not worth it because you're either going to have to pay somebody who's equiped to do it, or buy the expensive kit to do it yourself.. It just cant be done with a USB cable and a simple bit of software alone, sorry..

It can be done via USB at around 14 Euros using standard supplied cable.

This will both unlock and un-freeze. I have used this service myself before I got my NSPro box.

You'll need all appropriate drivers loaded on your PC and then download the SRS Client software.

I contacted my network provider and they said there is no such thing as an unfreezing code and the only way to do it is to send it back to them and pay a fee. are they conning me?

This is the reply I recieved from them:

We wouldn't have an unfreezing code for phones, just the NAC/NUC code. If the phone is overlocked it needs to be flashed.

Flashing would usually clear the freeze issue. You need drivers, the flash files and a USB cable. Probably a glass of something!!

If you've got the nerve, I'll try to find a tutorial for you.

Can you just post the exact model number as the Tocco Lite is called the Samsung 'Star' here and there are few slightly different versions!
