    Default dm 7025 firmware bootloader

I loaded the LT7 image but it wont boot up, gets half way then hangs. Could this be due to an old bootloader? Mine is 83 I think. Does the new firmware contain updated loaders. If I flash the fw from the link I will have to reload the image, right?
update: I installed the new fw, the image in hdd/mbimages and meoboot in hdd/mbimages/plugins neither of which are visible to install with the remote after reboot? I then tried dreamUp but it just hangs the same as before. Can I install direct from DCC or is something missing?

    Default

DCC shows the root is 61% full while the cf card is 100% full. Is this part of the problem? I can't see an option for formatting the cf card in DCC so linux or windows format?
