    Default Who has Openbox S12

To save on space and look a bit more tidy Im looking to replace my rather chunky S9 with the teeny weeny S12.. Anybody on here got an S12 ? I dont fancy the new Skybox F3 as thats bigger and stupidly has USB port on the front.. So who has an S12, Whats it like, is it stable, does it work ok for you? Have you been happy with it ? cheers..

Mine works great, the only problem is they can get quite hot when layed flat not that it's ever actually caused a problem.

No scart & special RS232 cable but apart from that it's a great little box!

my S12 is fine. Rubber feet came away on day 1, but replaced with bettwe quality feet with slightly higher clearance and have had no issues.

Remote is crap, suspect thats an openbox/skybox general issue though? In fact, has anyone got a DECENT openbox remote? they should all work with each other anyway...

the remote decent for the price, i agree it could be better though.

the buttons at first are sticky, use it for 2-3 weeks and you will find the remote alot better, a bit of wear will loosen the buttons.

I had a openbox s12, the remote broke within 1 day of use, the box worked fine still, but the remote failed to operate the box.

Defo a remote issue, you have to press the buttons twenty times before it does what you want it to.

Perhaps have a look at the skybox M3? Supposedly a small version of the F3 which is miles better than the S11/S12
