    Default Deleting files using Vista

    Hi Guys,
I've had a look about the forum and cannot see anything about this topic. Also had a look about the web and although seeing some articles, cannot find solutions.

I have Vista Home Premium, running on my laptop, when i go to delete files it asks me to confirm, then comes up with try again or cancel option. Saying that you need administrator privaleges.
I have switched off the UAC (user account control) function off as suggested in most of my search results. But this makes no difference.
It is the same with renaming files and folders.

I tried renaming and deleting using command line. But i only managed to delete files and folders.
But i think that that is down to my lack of Rename and Ren commands.

Any help would be very very welcome.

P.s there is only the one user account and that says it's set to administrator privaleges.

I don't know what you did mate, whether you have some computer voodoo going on but, i have tried several reboots, restarts and nothing worked. You send a post, i restart my computer and it's now renaming and deleting away no problem.
    Cheers anyway.
