Get an old pc, you don't use - with a 3GB HDD with a seagate or maxtor drive.
copy onto a another drive AND DVD
Pay your money for 3 tokens say, then clone onto a new DVD and new HDD that drive.
Then TRY sitting down 'all night' swapping drives and links and stuff, see what happens.
