I've got 2 and yes they are fine, although I have had to replace a PSU in one and the fans in both. To be honest tho world of satellite has them for 289 which is a lot cheaper now and nearer the price of the clone at around 200 but the choice is yours is it worth the risk for 89 quid?

i also have a clone, have had no psu issues.
just like portbhoy, i also have fan issue. it runs, but needs a flick to get it to run.
they have started getting cheaper, probably because there is a new version due out soon, so expect prices to fall.
    should get a bargain.

with the current exchange rate a clone direct from china in around 4 days cots ?171 so a saving of ?118 on an original and not ?89 that has been stated.

Although with the current spate of PSU problems is it worth the saving over an original.

and by that same note with the current exchange rate you can buy a original Vu+ Duo from Germany for ?240.

There are a shit load of reputable german retailers available this being just one of them.

    Code:
    http://www.satmedia.info/en/HDTV-Receivers/VU/VU-Duo.html
it's down as 299 euro's run that through a currency converter and it comes out as ?240.

    Code:

It's also worth pointing out that any receiver bought in Germany also comes with a standard and legally binding 2 year warranty, where as we in the uk only have to provide a minimum 1 year warranty.

so the question you should be asking is why buy cheap Chinese clone shite for ?171 which in all likelihood will arrive and blow up within a few weeks then cost you any thing up to another ?100 to either send it back to china or buy another cheap arsed PSU when for ?240 you can have a original receiver with a full 2 year warranty ?.

I'm going to order from there, silly question but all duos come with two tuners right?. And secondly will this supplier give the newer remotes the universal ones to control tv?

I'm really considering getting a vu+ duo from Germany but is this company decent and reliable? Are these models guaranteed not to be clones?
