Default Sick of Inputting keys and really struglin to connect to digital plus..

    Hey,

First off I have read through alot of the posts here and im still strugling.

Since problems end of november, I have been gettin by manually inputting key to Ddigital plus. However now it seems that it resets them as soon as i have exited the menu screen. So, time for to update...

However, I have tried connectin with the envision , mvenvision and cas loader with the DDigitalPlus_20081129_api and i keep getting the same error message "download not requested"

    Current firmware is - D_digital V2.2
    Hardware - v1.1.1 Date 04/16/2008

I did read somewhere else that connections with a USB serial adapter sometimes doesnt work, but as i only have usb on my laptop then??

Please if anyone has any further ideas, or need any further info on my dilemma - please say.

    Cheers

Your problem seems to me to be down to one of two things (and sadly i suspect its the usb issue)

    1. as you the usb to serial (particularly on this box) seems to be very unreliable. have you installed the necessary drivers and its still no good then short of trying another usb to serial adaptor i cant really help.

    2. your trying to flash the box when its turned on. it must be off when you flash it. when you press "start" to download quickly turn the box on and it will start to flash.

Yeah, flicked it on just after pressing start, tried everything from split second - to a couple of seconds after..

I'm waiting for the driver CD to be sent out, as currently I installed a driver from the net which said everythin was installed and ready to go(yeah right). So hopefully maybe it might be a driver issue.

Kind of thought this was the case - Thanks anyway. May look through for recommendations on a new box..
