    Default TP_Prog upgrade problem

I have update TP_Prog file from the thread ***BEST Sky UK Channel List 100% same channel numbers***, I can see all of the channels, however, I lose my subscription and cannot view any of the $ channels.

I have the S10 model and I backed up the TP_Prog file just incase. This has now been restored and I have access to my channels again.

Is it me being a numpty or is it just the way the S10 was configured by the supplier.

One other thing, my setting has a 4 digit pass number, which I know; when I upgraded the TP_Prog the pass number was no longer required.

Any help with this would be great.

    Thanks

    Hi

Are you sure you are updating the tp_progs as that is only a channel list and shouldnt affect your $ channels.

Think you are updating .abs to a different firmware in which case you will lose your cline...... good job you got it backed up.

I would go in now and back up just your cccam as well which is where your important file is and then when you update firmware again you can then transfer this info back and your $ channels should be ok.

Dont think I can say much more than that as might be bordering on breaking rules.

    Regards

    Thanks for your reply.

I'm certain that it was only the TP_PROG.DBS that got updated, which I selected from the menu options, plus it was the only file on my USB.

    Thanks agaib Mast

the tp_prog.dbs is actually a combination of sat/channel list and default data.Maybe the default data part is what's screwing things up.
There was a program called stbhdeditor that also came with a split/merge program that would divorce the userdata from the default data. You would take the good .dbs and split off the default data file which is 130k and merge that to the new channel list after splitting off that default data.
Just updating the tp_prog.dbs should have no effect on clines, since that is stored in the last 64k of flash.

    Hi

A couple of things you could try.

Best to put your old working firmware back and make a backup of your cccam and then put on new firmware and channel list and then update your cline and see if it works.

When you put the tp_progs as you are currently doing just check that dhcp is on and cccam is activated just in case something is causing it dhcp to switch off or cline to be deactivated.

    Regards

    Thanks again all.

    I'll check what I'm using, I don't think it's Cccam.

I tried stbhdeditor, following instructions and it didnt work
