    Yes the VCI have to be connected to OBD, to get power supply.

    No way to change serial in vci+ without changing the mcu.

    It's not true,Mr.Fantomel from other forum has solution,thanks him.CDP+ OTP AREA READ WITH ST-LINK.jpg CDP+ J400 TO STLINK PINOUT.JPG

    no need to change, just install autocom 2016, at the beginning of installation just select 30250, and it will work for you, i also use gold autocom with 2016 software

    You need to buy a better vci.

    You can not change from 5 digit to 6 digit serial.

    You can keep searching if you like but it is not going to happen.

    Surely you can at least afford to buy a good tool when you get the software for nothing.

    Your 2nd post in the whole 5 years that you are a member here............ wow.
