hi friends have a question, can clone id40 from opel,vauxhall,holden car is zafira 2003 , if a read the with zed bull i get a number from transponder, i connect zed with my notebook, and read a client key, by notebook and software v5.08 , and zed bull show me the transponder's number, and with the same software v5.08 i have the option to write to another transponder pc7935 . so i stopped in that moment because my transponder was the last and a have a work for tomorrow and a going to need this transponder, my question is is really possible clone opel id40 no matter what car is , , to another opel id 40 and the new key going to work ;

i dont know if this may help you , but i clone a 41 to pcf7935 for a nissan and that starts the car .

Zafira 2003 is id40 crypto, no it cant be cloned.

Older opels that used id33 such as corsa B, you can program in by obd an id40 transponder, and this type can be cloned.

From what I can remember, you can clone the ID of some 40 transponders to a T5 and this is enough to make the car start.
I have never relied on it as it's hit and miss, some work, some don't.

Theres two types of id40, I think ones crypto and ones not.

The non-crypto (or first version) you can clone no probs upto 2000-2002 ish

Im pretty sure white writing on the chip is early non crypto (T9) and gold writing is later cypto (T12)

As paul says the early (white) ID40s can be cloned.

In Brazil ID40 opel ( Immo 1 ) Clone on T5.
Immo 2, Opel2. Opel2R not.
Zafira 2003 Brazil not clone !!

I just cloned an ID 40 GM on a T5 even if it says that cannot be copied. After reading the T5 it shows ID 33 GM!
Don't know if will work on the car!

There are 2 types of Opel id40: id40 non crypto (early) which CAN be cloned onto a 7930/31/35 Corsa B etc 98>2000

And id40 Crypto (later) all Astra G, Zafira, early vectra C up to 02 etc CAN'T be cloned. Blank 7935 must be precoded opel then programmed by OBD with pin....OR blank 7935 programmed from tms370 dump to start the car without obd programming.

Early type chips used to be gold letters on chip
BUT:
You can use a id40 crypto chip on the earlier system because the chip is backward compatible, but not the other way round. That's why you dont see that many gold chips, because the white chips do both systems 1+2
