A6 Instrument Cluster Adapation - System not ok

Hi Digital Kaos,

I need to swap instrument cluster on A6 allroad - MY 2001.

Old instrument cluster is: 4Z7 920 930 CX VDO D13 (MY 2001)
New instrument cluster is: 4B0 920 933 G VDO D11 (MY 2002)
(this instrument cluster was already adapted once - used)

I suppose that both of these instruments clusters have immo 3.

I know SKC from both. I changed all coding and adaptation channels 60, 61, 62 in new instrument cluster so that the codings are the same in both now. But still I get error message by adapting: System not ok.

To copy whole eeprom is not possible... They are not compatible.

Can anybody help me with this problem? Or help me how to change the EEPROM dump directly?

There are not any.. Only that motor start is blocked by immo... It's clear... Must be....

Are these clusters compatible with each other??? I mean to adapt the new one in standard way?

It starts with old cluster... With the new one no, because I have problems to adapt it... Never had this problem before.

I suppose I have to change it directly in EEPROM... Or try to make virgin status of it...

Has anybody experience with this?

use search botton Lupu gave a wicked anser, think chanel 1, then 050 read, login, stand on one leg, ign off 1 min.

I've read it... It's not my problem... I have EDC15 and this cluster... But it is possible to it this way of course.. But I dont have any EEPROM dump from this ECU and this cluster paired together...

Ignore where Lup says 'eeprom dump' - but try what he says, you might like it.

run the vechile for 10 mins, see if you get a picture of a man sucking a ly pop.

I've tried... 5x times may be... Without success... I will check channels 22, 23, 24 once again if the cluster is not locked... May be I will have to discuss this matter with Lupu Sandu.. He is really great.
