Great The engine starts now so I can drive it around instead of push it around.

Today I found on the scrap yard a working dash for much cheaper price then repair the other one. What is the way to program it to my car. I have VAG-COM 10.6 and MaxiDAS 708.
By the way what is DejaVu any links to take a look maybe the time is coming to spend some more money for equipment...

No, unfortunately not. You have to use proper tools. Search for vag EEPROM programmer. This application is able to read with a simple kkl lead the login of your dashboard.

Pin is not only thing you need.
RB4 has to be in virgin mode 04 to be able to adopt it to ECU.

We are not fighting nor arguing... But it's not correct that an instrument cluster has to be set in mode 04. No matter if status 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. The dashboard can be adapted to the immobilizer system.

Not with RB4 dash.
I never was able to adopt it with 06 status.It will say every time "System not ready".
Soon as I set 04 , everything goes OK.Only way I can do it 06 mode if I write original CS direct to cluster .
As you know RB4 has 2 X VIN is dash and this may be a problem. I never was interested why, I just set 04 mode and adopt cluster.

The tool you going to use has option to set 04 mode.
But please try to do in mode 06 and report. I really like to now is it going to work. I never had a luck with it.

Repair the DEF. Read login from ecu and dashboard and adapt it with the instruction I posted earlier. 100% success rate :-)

So I'm back. Today I've got the new used cluster so tomorrow going to try adopted in mode6 first then in mode4. I will let you know what is going on.
If I backup the dump from the immo 24c08 of the new cluster is it possible to restored after in case of DEF or another error?
