it's a good idea to back-up your "new" used cluster...read and save 24c08 before you start to read pin or adapt cluster...if something goes wrong, you can restore original state of your "new" used cluster...but...don't forget to turn "on" immo status of engine ECU(put back original file) before adapting your "new" used cluster...otherwise,you can't adapt cluster to the immo system

So finally I adapt the cluster to the ECU with known old pin from ECU and known pin from new (used) cluster, adaptation is done with VCDS ver10.6 (china) the cluster is in mode6.

    PS:
By the way I load the 24c08 dump from new (used) cluster to the old one and it works. Presently the car is with it's original cluster. So now I have one cluster extra ))
If someone need working dump with pin I will posted later on...

Glad that you solved your issue.

    Regarding the 24c08 dump:
Within a non-crypted rb4 dashboard or decrypted dashboard dump this is (and was) always possible :-)

    Cheers,

What you mean is decrypted, right?
This procedure was always possible, because the dasboard mcu is crypting it again.

Copying a crypted dump from one dashboard to another will cause DEF/Error.
Copying a decrypted dump from one dashboard to another will work 100% (this is also what VDC is doing when cloning the immo data).

    So I will explain,
when I get the cluster from the scrap yard before connected to the car I read the 24c08 on the bench with programmer to make backup just in case. After I loaded this file to the old original cluster which had a DEF. Then I connected to the car the old original cluster loaded with dump from the new(used) cluster so like that I've got a cloned cluster.
Next step I read the already cloned cluster via OBD with "VAG EEPROM PROGRAMMER v1.19" -> set in mode4 -> get the PIN.
Then with the PIN and VCDS adaptation to the ECU and program the key

hy you have to read the data of the cluster so as to retrieve the pin code of the key 1st...after that you can easily program the key..
