Default openbox has power wont turn on??? please help

Hi, my openbox s11 has suddenly conked.I was installing new motor dish etc and went to use a satmeter.plugged receiver cable into meter and jumper from lnb.picked up some channels on thor but box was pretty hot as was long time using satmeter.tried again to get stronger signal and couldnt get meter to work.checked back inside box was blank on display.pullled out receiver cable from meter box powered on again after some time unpluging box etc.Did same thing over few times searching for stronger signal with same results box going in and out of consciousness when pulling receiver cable from meter.tried new webro coax cable thinking that was problem got no action on meter. Then plugged that cable into fixed sky dish where older cable was checked inside and that finished it off completely.read elsewhere that hot coax may have affected it as receiver may have been on few times when connnecting it to meter as i was trying it numerous times over and wouldnt have power box off on each occasion. It has power as it powered up a harddrive although hd + ethernet cable was connected while using satmeter could these have effected it?any help suggestions greatly aprreciated as nearly has new dish up and now have no receiver.Thanks.

hi just noticed your post...it seems like your psu on receiver may have suffered..there has been posts that using a motor on open boxes has caused problems a replacement psu can be bought and fitted easily..seen them on ebay but most are the same..check there are no shorts in your sat feed etc..cheers
