    Default Hi all need some help newbie

    I have a drembox 500s and I have just recently loaded up ubunbu 12.04 on my laptop. Im trying to run universal dream up ver 1.3.3.5 / .6 and I keep getting the error message of ( unable to open COM-port, aborting )

    could do with some help or its back to windows XP

    Try running xp in a virtual machine on your Ubuntu. Linux uses ttYsx devices under /dev so have a lookin there for example com1 would be ttys1 etc.
