Can anyone confirm if this LPT parallel port jtag Programmer For ARM H-JTAG is valid to reprogram Carprog Mcu AT91SAM7s256. I guess if possible because is ARM7... but need you confirm this.

And further question is if i can connect this programmer to LPT port to Usb Cable Adapter and this not create conflicts to do reprogramming.

Advanced Very Thanks for your help.

're-flash possible without removing AT88SC eeprom'

How many people have done this with full success? Any failures of the eeprom data yet?
Could upa or xprog be used to read/write & backup this as a failsafe?

    Thanks guys for your help!

Can someone please clarify a newbies confusion :-)

#1 picture 4 shows the pin 55 link wire going to JP1 solder point nearest the USB end of the CP
to enable flash erase. The next picture in #2 shows a link wire the other end of the JP1 to erase.
    Which is correct please?

Credit to audiotek on making the programming software steps with pictures nice and clear!

I understand that i can use the Ltp wiggler with the H-Jtag software to reflash the AT91SAM.
If i want to use the usb J-link V8 does it still use the same software and settings?
(sorry if this is a dim question...just trying to be foolproof - i should have asked on 1st April :-)
Are the connections correct in #149 for the J-Link?

    Thanks to all

You'll need to erase the Atmel correctly, if you don't erase the Atmel content the Jtag port remains closed, pleaase look at post #1 : "Wait from 5 to 10 seconds after connect the 12v supply, the flash content will be erased and the Jtag option of the Mcu will be enabled now. If not work leave connected for about 3 to 5 minutes. Disconnect the 12v supply from carprog and remove the pin 55 wire from vcc. The pin 55 must remain disconnected until the programming process is done." For Jtag pinout check the post #2.

Erased the Atmel to ground? you'll never erase the atmel connecting the pin 55 to ground, as you can see in the post #1 the connection is to vdd test point of carprog, you need to make the erase procedure before to connect the carprog to the programmer. And yes, TCK is TCLK, NRST is TRST or RESET (doesn't matter, if you test continuity in programmer you can see that TRST and RESET are the same pin).

I still was not clear whether the use 74HC125 (CMOS level) or 74HCT125 (TTL levels)? I think that's the main problem with the clones....
