Default Which image do u use?

This might sound like a really stupid question...

but i switched over from a ev max box in Dec to a 500c...

flashed it with a neutrino image and it's up and running just fine... The eurovox is very simple but am getting the hang of the extra work required for the DB. Not a problem.

My question is, what makes people choose the image they have?

On the one hand i quite like the image i have, but i have had no experience of any other so how do i know they are not better? Do people just try half a dozen images and find one they like? Do people check out images on a mates DB and then choose to use it? Does constantly swapping image not cause endless problems with the DB setup and reception?

Is a neutrino image better than an enigma image?

    Cheers

Before you try any image, take a complete image backup of your current one so that you have something to go back to if you don't like them or something screws up.

I have the Dk v1.1 image for cable and the Nabilo Darkstar 2 image for satellite.

Your neutrino image probably doesn't have an addons server attached. The DK image has the ability to download and install plugins, games, emu, etc. via the addons menu on the box, you can do it all from the remote. The only condition is that the box is connected to a router that has internet access.

Tks mate, am using a neutrino image by openmedia.

I don't have anything to compare it to but it does the job and i like the on-screen layout of stuff etc.

Being relatively new to the 500c, i want to try a few images to see what is best but dont want to end up with no tv for a week if it all goes pear shaped!

PS i only have need to watch tv on the box.
