    Default Netgear FS 116 Question

I am currently setting up a home network and am looking at purchasing a Netgear FS116 16 port 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch with Auto Uplink.
This will be connected via Cat 5 from my BT router to switch, do i purchase this or do i have to buy a hub instead?

Cheers for that, can i use a standard CAT 5 T568B config from router to switch or will it have to be a crossover?

Just a straight cable should be ok. Switches these days are auto sensing.
