The cable you have brought is fine that's standard CATV cable, just make sure the F's are terminated correctly and ensure the stinger (centre core) is the right length, the thickness of a pound coin should be what you have sticking out if you measure from the rim of the F.
They will send you a Ambit 2055 Modem as these are the latest 20Mb modems earlier models did not work with 20Mb circuits.

Did VM fit a isolator on the wall upstairs ? as this could also be a potential issue.
