Default Slow internet with VM super Hub

Recently got a new laptop internet speeds I'm getting with my VM superhub is less than 4MB. On my phone speeds is roughly 20-25mb.

When I connect laptop directly with a wired connection get great speeds, but on the wireless it struggles miserably. I've changed the channel no. via the virgin 192 page but still no luck. Any advice welcome

N series capable laptop. I'm aware of numerous firmware issues with new super hub. I fixed my problem by changing channel no. And switching router off then on fixed it

Ok problem not fixed totally yet, its so intermittent and so annoying. Network (VM) not problem. I took my laptop to a friends house for a weekend and I had same problem, intermittent problems with internet speeds buffering on you tube etc..

My old laptop in terms on speed works fine, new one is causing all sorts of problems. Help appreciated. Is my network adaptor on my new laptop no good? I have occasions where it takes ages to connect to my network
