Default Dont know how to connect to dbox2

    Hi Everyone,

Im new to all this, so i do apologise for the reptitive questions. Having searched through the forum, i cant find any decisive way to HIDE THE ADULT CHANNELS on my dbox; i dont want to flahs it or what have you; jsut need to access the box through its IP.

Now ive done the whole, settings thing, whereby ive edited the network card, connected the RJ45 to the box. Windows reports a successful connection, but when i putm y ip in, it wont connect.

Ivedisabled my wireless connection before i even started, but tried it with the connection on, clearlym ade no difference. So really i have fliiping idea what to do; and wa hoping you guys could kindly help me please.

    Regards

    Saboor

ok first set you network card ip to 192.168.0.101 the on the dbox set the ip to 192.168.0.2
get flash fxp or something like it the type in the dbox ip--- user name (root)---- password( dbox2) that should let you strait into the box. once there got to var/tuxbox/config/zapit and then send the bouquets and services over to the pc then get matapad and open the files, from there you can edit them to your liking.

You need a crossover cable to connect to the dbox unless you are connecting via a router. When you do get access try editing the zapit config file you will find it in var/tuxbox/config/zapit. Add this line makeRemainingChannelsBouquet=0 that will hide all the channels you havent added to a bouquet. Use a free text editor like metapad or crimson editor to make the changes dont use wordpad.
