Kess v2 user for simos pcr 2.1 vag 1.6

Hi,

I have one golf mk6 1.6 tdi 2010 with simos pcr 2.1 ecu. Need to power up with kess v2.

Need to unlock something or not ?

hi, yes need. use pass reading first, with bootloader to OFF protection and then you can read write OBD2 mode.

You need open ecu , tricore adapter and leads, check info into kess help.

I read ecu throug obd2 without unlock. It's give me a file 480ko.

This is an encrypted KessV2 slave file. You should ask your tuner with the Master device how to operate...

Bought tricore module. Unlocked ecu. Read and write ok.

After unlock ecu, i read the same file as before. Ecu was locked for read and write or only write ?

this ecu is only protected for writing for this ..
but your file is not ok maybe you have slave version?
or you damage this ecu?

Hi M8,
You should have tricore adapter and leads for that ecu, ask to your Alientech supplier, it costs arround 200Eur.
Then you will be able to connect to ecu board to unlock, then you will be able to read and write by eobd.You must have connections into your kess help.
