    Default how do u stopp aol changing ip

    l have a camera setup at work and can remotely view from my phone using a dns account but aol router keeps changing ip ?

    the router is netgear dg834g l have added dns account to it

    my virgin account at home never changes ? why do aol ..

    any ideas

    Cos AOL is crap. Can you not use some ddns like no-ip? Then connect to your no-ip address

    l have just installed this .. will let u know if this sorts it

    Should be ok cos it will update the IP associated to that domain

    aol is dial up? at work and most of the time will change ip when u connect.

    have on the pc running the cam have the dyn updater config and use a url to connect to that

    AOL dont do fixed IPs, so any time it disconnects you will almost certainly get a different IP when you reconnect.

    Try the work-around above - if it were your home account I would say ditch AOL for a proper ISP, but you cant - sorry!!!

    You need a Static IP Address, and I don't know if that's possible with AOL Dial up. Even if it was, Why pay more for poor service when you can get a real internet provider for the same price?

    let me get this straight so you have aol router?? or an internet service with aol thru modem and then go to router thats what i understand if you have dhcp server set on the router will change the ip everytime that you want see the camera have you tried dmz and set manual ip on iphone and camera. can you explain wha you have connected?

    checked the info according to dyndns.org is not possible to get static ip address Remote Monitoring using dynamic IP - WebCam Monitor so the issue is not with aol it is with dyndns.org.
