I have some new eeproms and I'll try with one of them as you suggest.

I'll report back of course :P

I have tried it with a new EEPROM but still the same issue

But with the 215.630km mileage written back it displays it without any Error also if I put the 215.760km mileage in it works fine.

I start to think that in the dump you need to change more than just line 60 & 70.

Hope someone here has a solution or is able to give me a dump near 135.000k.
I though it is so easy to change it but I doubt it now.

Been a long time but finally I have sorted it out

I have used a different programmer and with the Willem programmer I have had success You should use NM93c46 chips & 16bit mode setting for programming the 93C46 chips because with this it works

I have not fully have a clue how to reprogram it to one mileage accuracy but there is just 100 miles difference so not a big deal

Here is the dump file for the 142.608km

If you put any number that is dividable trough 16 you get near what you want

I have solder a normal DIP8 93C46 to the PCB board of the speedo for a quicker reflash of the chip

Also for a quicker switch on you just hook up to cables to it likes this and the LCD goes on

Here are the chip normally in his SMD form:

For some testing the min reading I could get close to is 79km

    The max reading was 999.935km

Have fun and don't use this for illegal things !!!

or loosen the screws and rotate the dial 3/4 and is a beautiful handle to remove the eeprom

I've given it up before my Eeprom will break Weird thing with the DIP8 chip is that the dash can't rewrite it correctly.

I let the DIP8 run a few km with my speed generator and after 2km the dash flips back to the orig first programmed mileage. So it shows 15km than 16km 17km and then flips back to 15km and so on

Fitted back the orig SMD Eeprom and this does not behave like the DIp8. It counts correctly over 17km and so on.

I've tried a new DIp8 and the same story here

Don't know why it behaves like this.

Got it sorted out with the new SMD chips. You have to cut of the Pin6 do engage the Eeprom into 16bit mode.

So the conclusion is, that the orig SMD chips from the Dash has internal the Pin6 not connected

But with the normal Dip8 it gives no change it does not work as it should

Here are some other values from the chip while testing and I'm too lazy to get the algorithm

    And what's happening after 999.999km
