Default Astra G injectors fault help

    Astra G 1.4 16valve 2001.

    Original engine 16valve 1.4
We replaced new 1.4 8valve engine, car started but misfiring on two cylinders.

Op-Com indicating number 2 and 4 injectors fault. We changed the injectors but it?s still showing number 2 and 4 injectors faulty.

Please help what is the solution?? Do I need to flush the ECU and programme injectors??????

    Any help very much appreciated.

Solution is get oscilloscope and check injection pulse on injectors. If there is no injection pulse next step is wiring checks between injectors and ECU.
One more thing. If i understand right you went from 16 valves engine to 8 valves one. What else has been swapped over and what's left from old engine?

Only thing we swapped was the ECU the new engine came complete with injectors and ignition coil.

As you say I will check the injection pulse tomorrow and keep you posted.

Thanks for your advice and help.

Right wiring diagram and soldering iron might help here

Check for wiring diagram according to new engine code!

So to bother you on same subject, do I need to check the wiring diagram on injectors firing order or do I have to check the ECU wiring?

Thanks again for your time mate.

First of all you need to find right wiring diagram for "old" engine code. Check for injectors wires pinouts on ECU plug.
Then find right wiring diagram for "new" engine code and check the same thing. Then needs to put wires in right places.
There might be a slight problem with that as you will not have pins in right places on ECU plug. I don't know if you will be able to change them (can not remember if that plug can be disassembled) and this might end with swapping over ECU plug from donor engine car and soldering loads of wires.
    Something like that.

I don't thing its worth all that hassle.................

8 Valve Engine has Distributor System and 16 Valve Engine has Crank and Cam Shaft System there for both ECU have different Drivers System and different Software's..........

Not worth to spend that much time and money on an 2001 Vauxhall........

    Thanks Ash

It's year 2001 car mate.....distributors were already disappeared from new car market. I assume that new engine code should beZ16SE which uses the same Multec engine management system as Z16XE engine which i think was originally in car.
According to TIS2000 injectors pinouts are the same on both engines. We could be looking at broken wires or ****ed ECU(not a first one which i have seen with this fault).
In any case for first needs to do wiring checks and then checks with oscilloscope.
