    Default new router is it any better

    hey guys i just bought a new router an buffulo n finiti wireless n router to replace my old belkin roter ive had for 4 years and was wondering if this will improve my broadband speed for gaming,i play on xbox live and was wondering if this will improve my connection at all(less lag).



    p.s iwill be useing it with a wired connection as opposed to a wireless.

    i wouldnt think it would improve your speed m8 but if im wrong i will be corrected no doubt

    I cant see it speeding up due to having a wired connection for gaming, if it was wired and the signal strengh was higher then yes i could see that being better.

    Your broadband speed will not be improved by your new router as that is determined by your ISP and the speed you supposedly pay for. The N series routers will give you a faster WIFI bandwidth within your own home network only ranging from 270 - 300mbps. If you choose to do a wired connection then you will probably see no benefit at all.

    I know some people who have put on the XP Black Gamers Edition onto their PCs to help with gaming as it does things like doubles the USB ping rate to get a faster response back from the keyboard/mouse/joystick etc...
