Default Problem with Eurovox EX7000 HD+jump function

    Hello there.
Am new to all this folks so please forgive my ignorance. Just purchased a Eurovox EX7000 HD reciever. Having two problems with it, firstly I have a 160Gb USB 2.0 extenal drive hooked up to it, when watching something I have recorded the fast forward will only go to x8 speed. When I try to use the jump function on the remote nothing happens. do you have to pause or stop it first and then hit the jump button? Secondly when I did the initial scan it picked up most of the channels, it could see the channel idents come up and even what programme was on but no picture. I have a Eurovox SL1000 in my bedroom and it has all the channels including the ones not picked up by the 7000. When I looked at the frequencies of the missing channels I noticed that they were all ***250 or ***750. When I tried to do a manual scan I could only input the the first 5 digits of certain frequencies. Is there anyway around this? I am in Ireland by the way if it makes any difference to what I am doing.

    Thanks
    CrossM

the jump feature works when you select pvr, then when you press the jump button you will see the search bar increase by 10 mins each time you press it e.g. 10 mins 20 mins 30 mins up to 60 then it starts again, if you select say 20, then use the across arrow the movie or whatever you are watching will jump forward by the mins you selected, then press play to continue.

the problem with the freq numbers is a problem, you cant input anything after the first five numbers, this will hopefully be resolved on the next firmware update.

    Hope this helps you/////
