Default Mercedes w203 no starting signal....

    Dear DK,

    I got a Mercedes W203.045 C200 Compressor.
This car was abandoned for 4 months, one day the customer started the engine,, everything looked fine,,, he drove it for a while all ok! The next day when he tried to start it again, it wouldn't start!
The key is tuning the EZS,,, the ELV is also unlocking but when you turn the key to start the engine it's completly dead!

I have done a star scan, i had no faults in EZS, both SAM and in the engine ecu!!! I got only faults in the sunroof and the steering wheel sensor needs calibration (irrelevant!)!

If i give 12V+ to the purple wire (starter) on the front SAM the car is cranking but not starting!

Does anyone has any idea on what is this problem??

P.S. There is one thing that i noted and was strange....
In the EZS module,, on the live data,,,, it says:
EZS permitted to start -> YES
ELV permitted to start -> YES
ME, ECU electronics, Permitted to Start -> NO

Isn't that supposed to be a YES???

Also when i try to program the permission status in the Engine ecu i get the error saying "Fault in Software Communication"

    Thanks in advance

The DAS values on EIS seem OK except the "ME, ECU electronics, Permitted to Start -> NO
    "

All the other ok,,, Key number 1 in ignition, ELV permitted to start OK, EIS too,,,,,

Also, i have just tried what you suggested (key in 50 when i give 12v) but it won't start again

    Hi!

I have completely same problem. The car is W203, make year 2006, 220CDI.

Was running normally, then one day just would't start. When you turn the key, nothing happens. Starter is OK (we tried putting direct voltage to starter - it starts cranking, but the engine won't fire).

I have no fault codes, but DAS cannot establish communication with CGW. In EZS under "Drive authorization", there is state "891: ME Motor Electronics: start enable: NO - actual value. If you press information, it says engine does not see that ignition is ON. What could be the problem?
