    Have 800hd. On start up it says enigma 2, blackhole dream elite. I download a skin from plug-ins.
    But on restart I get a message saying your dream box has a software problem an will restart in 10 sec'
    well something like that.
    Plz help.

    If you can't get an IP address from it then you gonna have to use dreamup mate

    think its 192.168.1.1
    do i try login using a ftp program?
    then what do i do?

    at the moment its just starting then gets message with green screen and restarts over and over..

    got dream up. but on start it say error no com ports.

    If the skin is causing it to green screen and crash then it's only the enigma2 engine that's crashing so you should still be able to use DCC to logon onto the box. Once there navigate to the folder /usr/share/enigma2 and in there should be a folder containing the skin, for the time being just use DCC to rename the skin folder that's causing the problem, hopefully on next restart of enigma2 it will revert back to the default skin. If it does then jobs a good one, go back and remove the folder you renamed to get rid of the offending skin.

    If that doesn't work then restart the box whilst holding the power button to get the box into STOP mode then use IE to reflash.

    Hey, i need help. Installed a wrong skin too and now the 800SE is forever in a boot-reboot scenario. I tried to use the DCC program but cant seem to get it work.

    Can any kind soul pls giv a step by step instruction on how to DCC in this situation?
