modding xbox newbie - help plz!

hi all, im basically looking for info on the in's and out's of modding an xbox.

what my main concern is, can the xbox be modded in the same way that a wii is hacked? for example using different programs and files WITHOUT the use of soldering or replacing any of the hardware inside the box?

awk come on cunny give it to me in simple terms! iv read that article but just give me a simple yes or no man! i dont wana read up on the actual technical aspects of modding until i know its worth my while actually pursuing it!

I have a fat xbox 360 hdmi console which was modded before but the dvd rom drive got replaced for a new one through insurance and was updated etc can i still mod it?

TO be honest pal i would just let some one flash it for you for 20 quid instead off buying all the gear, plus xbox360 could be over by late next year if the new console appears even if you have to get it flashed twice from now till next year still cheaper than buying all the stuff then get yourself one off those ihas drives off flee bay for 30 quid all ready flashed for burning games and away you go
