Bad reading.
With xprog select Immobilizer --> BMW --> EWS-3.
Use adapter ews3.

That's how I read the file. This module ews is touched by another person, so I need a dump right to run my car.

I'll deal with making new keys and coding engine ecu.

You can use anothers dump from ews3, but isn ews must be match with isn dme.
Read flash dme & viriginize this dump.
Post here flash dump.

Is it your cars e46 320ci m54 cabrio 2001 ?

I have a ews 4.4 that got bad in the process of reading eeprom. I was able to read the eeprom Can I use ews 3 or 3+ to be programmed to the Car. Folarinm attached is the eeprom information read from the bad unit
