The flash chip is not protected. But you can only write the entire chip in boot mode since the main software does not allow you to do this.
Galletto v54 and MPPS v18 can't be made yourself. I don't know of any other cheap solution. You can buy them from the usual Chinese webshops, I'd recommend MPPS v18 or newer since it's cheap and does not break as easily as the Galletto.

How did you read and write the EWS? I don't think Galletto can do that? Anyway, if you post your dumps here we can try to fix them.

Here is what I have. The original ECU Bin, the broken EWS4.3 Bin, and the working EWS3 Bin that's being rejected by ECU. The EWS3 will show complete green in BMW Scanner reads the keys starter is enabled however the ECU(DME) blocks the EWS saying the code is wrong. The AK90 will not let me save the EWS4.3 Bin on the EWS3. So that's when I pulled the ECU opened it and started trying to get it in boot mode so I can flash it.

If you can fix the EWS or the DME Bin somehow where it bypasses EWS that would work.

Can you send a bin that would normally be on a 2D47J chip... Ill flash it on, read it, add keys, then send back to see if you can match it to the DME. The file I sent is all I have. Its from a EWS3 HW01 SW03

I got another EWS 4.3 and flashed that and it appeared to sync but now the DME isn't letting the car start. I can no longer flash it either however I can read the flash from it. So I ordered a used DME on Ebay. Anyone know if I can flash it with a KDCAN cable as that's all I have at the moment. I believe it will take months for the cable to get here from China for Galletto v54. I was looking at the MPPS cable and that's in china as well. Any options would be greatly appreciated.

So I got a another DME and I wonder if you or someone can provide me with a virgin EWS, virgin DME, and a EWS that will pair with new(used)dme. I'm attaching the new DME file, old DME file, and current EWS file. All pulled with Galletto 1260 and AK90
