bmw ews4 - to ews3

hi, is this possible and can anyone help -

i have a bmw x 3 with ews 4 on it. the ews is damaged but i read the 2L86d mcu and saved the info. i do not have another ews4 .

i have a ews3 that is in good condition. can someone please convert the ews4 info so i can code it to the ews3 module.

Hi,


you have a EWS4.4.
You cannot replace a EWS4.4 with a EWS3, the interface between DDE/DME and EWS is different. Buy used EWS4.4 and copy your data.

I have the same problem of ews4. I tried the ews 4 in a X5 and it cranked but in the X3 it did not I got another ews4 and used AK 90 to transfer the information to it and i have exactly the same problem. I tried to write a new chip and it said "data error"
please is AK 90 modifyng the data? how do i correct this data error?
