    Default Eagle v Skybox

Now my Maxx is retired looking for new low cost replacement. The Eagle and Skybox have caught my eye but any advice would be welcome!

seeing as the Skybox is actually an openbox then support is greater for the Openbox/Skybox than what the eaglebox has.

Take a Look at DK's Openbox section its full of F3 users and not a single eagle user in sight

    Hi,

If by Eagle, you mean the Eagle800HD or EagleminiHD (not the Eagle Linux Box) - these two boxes have very poor support - no channel editor - latest patch April 2012 - a Softcam is kept up to date tho.

The eagle hd, not to be mistaken with the sd linux version is poor at best.
No real support anymore and has c line issues.
    Openbox has far more support.

Well , looks like the Skybox wins! Seems it has better support especially on kaos so that has convinced me.
Thanks for all your helpful comments!
    Over to flea-bay for me!

the eaglebox 800hd has been a total failure(no suprise there then seeing its from the dark one) and its one saving grace is the softcam support from @kempa82. if used for softcam only then its worth a punt for the price imo but for other methods then forget it,regards mdt
