    Get secondary code.

Strip down so motherboard is out.
    Remove xclamps
    Clean up cpu and gpu
    Buy some machine screws
Replace xclamps with decent thermal paste.
    Put kpads on ram chips
    Reseat board.
With fans disconnected power up console allowing to over heat
Once over heated power off at mains
Leave for 20 mins to cool down.
    Recollect fans and power up

You can also buy rrod repair kits from xecuter. Think it's the extreme edition now

Never used 1 however I'd imagine they work as from xecuter.

I've repaired a few with above method

manged to get number of the elite console
one was 0110 green light on power brick
other was 0001 red light on power brick

i couldnt get numbers of white xbox as tray kept coming out it didn have 3 red lights on front
but what i weird is when i plugged av leads in turned on the console it works no red rights or nothing (could i flash this one then )

for all them i used a new power brick and lead as just bought one off amazon for ?8 and no hard rive on any of them

0110 = E20: likely a Ram error, this can be caused by a cold or bridged solder joint on one of the Ram chips. reflow the ram area with a hot air reflow station.

0001 = E01: possibly a power supply problem, if it's been tested with known working power supply it's most likely a blown mosfet on the motherboard, time to crack the multimeter out to test the mosfets. and check for any short circuits on the board.

if it boots up and displays picture and has sound, yes you can flash it.
just make sure it plays original games before you mess with it,
if it doesn't you may be looking at a bad laser or lost drive key depending on what it can play.
