Hi Guys,
Client towed his car to my workshop as he dropped the one and only key which worked with the car, and since the car does not start. Opening the key immediately revealed that he lost the transponder...I wanted to make the immo off, but on this car it's not possible, only partial removal works. And if I'm right when the immo is partially removed the ECU is reverted back to virgin state, and it will learn keys at the first start, so it's also not good in this situation.
I'm about to have a transponder made for this car by a friend of mine, but as he's far away I would have to tell him what kind of transponder to use, and he'll also need the "transponder code"
The car is a 2004 Renault Kangoo 1.5dci with a Delphi/TRW DDCR ECU - the facelifted Series I. version, like this:

The key fob has two buttons and looks like this:
Could you guys tell me the following:
1. What kind of transponder will I need for this car, and what machines would do it?
2. From where can I read out the key data from the car? From the UCH or instrument cluster?
3. If I give the certain transonder type and the "key code" to someone who could make transponders is that data sufficient, or does the method requires ther car to be near the machine when it's done?
Regards,
Tibi
